Senior Sight Outreach
Senior Sight Outreach (SSO) is a three-pronged program that provides education, screenings, free exams, and low cost glasses to Tennessee’s uninsured, indigent, and working poor adults age 40 and older, by forming partnerships with local community-based agencies that already serve these populations in their areas. |
Operation I Care
Operation I Care is a comprehensive vision program for children ages 3-18. This unique program provides vision services including screenings, referrals, eye exams and eyeglasses to children in need. |

Public Health Education & Awareness
PBT provides the general public with educational materials, information and referrals to increase awareness of eye health and prevention of blindness. |
Professional Education & Training
PBT facilitates educational seminars on eye health and administers vision screening training for head start staff, school nurses, and volunteers so that the program reaches populations in at-risk communities across Tennessee. |
Vision Screenings for Children & Adults
We screen for vision problems in both children and adults. Screening is a cost-efficient, very effective way to detect possible vision problems in both children and adults. |
